I opened the newspaper today and Ascent of TOI had the headline “How is your job the best job in the world”!
And this comes right after I am going through not the most beautiful phase of my work-life…..like every creative process,ya ok,if thats the only reason.
And then what I discover is even more interesting,rather how the day unfolds. I went upto my boss saying ….I need something exciting to do,something thats not predictable,something I would do not because it will sell but coz I will feel good about it.
Maybe he also felt the same and he gave me something random to do.
Ya, thats something I like about him I guess,something thats got nothing to do with the present or real time, he just transcends to all new realm. In times like this…..its quite a boon.
But almost at the end of the day,I have seen myself really not doing something great, or remotely random but mundane stuff…..picking shots from the tapes,tryng to write storyboards and all of that. And though I see a long night I am feeling light about it. Now thats random,and it feels good.
Oh ya, my first review happened today.
I, in my naive mind,should have felt excited about it but the worldly ways have taken a better off me. I am not all starry eyed but I am not even willing to let go of hope.
Maybe review will live upto the spirit of the word and the cog wheels will be oiled and something smooth will come out of it.
Change for the better is the way of life.
And guess what,I am not feeling that demotivated right now…..zilch will be in my favor but Zany could be all mine.
